Carlie-bug is nine months old already & wow is she growing! At her 9-month appointment, Carlie was 26 inches tall (long?), 16lb-13oz, and her head is 17.5" around. That makes her in roughly the 10th, 25th, and 50th percentiles respectively! I think that's pretty much been the norm for her, but the doctor said she's just perfect (and we agree!)! She's wearing almost all 9-month clothing right now (and some 12-month), and still in size 3 diapers.

Carlie has been a great little eater this month. She still nurses about 5-6 times a day (including once at night) and she eats her solids like a champ! She has now started eating yogurt for breakfast, so her typical day's worth of meals goes something like this: 1/2 yogurt & 1/2 banana for breakfast, a half jar/tub of fruits & a half jar/tub of veggies for lunch (sometimes veggies are mixed with meats from the food mill), plus cheerios and puffs, and then dinner is usually a veggie mixed with some meats (if she didn't already have some) along with a big bowl of cereal with fruit! She's a BIG eater! She also loves her snacks...we gave her a pretzel rod to gnaw on, as well as some veggie straws, and now she gets mad when you try to take them away from her! She LOVES to feed herself!

Carlie hasn't started to crawl yet, but she's SO close! She will lurch over her legs while sitting until she gets on all fours, but then she falls down onto her belly and cries. Sometimes she'll scoot herself around in circles, or once in a while scoot backwards, but we haven't seen too much evidence of an army crawl just yet. Carlie may, however, be like her sister and decide to walk before she crawls, since she has already pulled herself up to standing on her activity cube and on Hadley's little chair. She's even gone so far as to reach out to other nearby furniture to grab toys, etc from them!
Since our last update, Carlie has also sprouted a third (and almost a fourth) tooth! She'll soon have her full set of four front teeth! She has also become quite sensitive (even more so than before) & is truly a mama's girl! She's nearing her attachment phase, I think, and it definitely shows when we're around people we don't know...she will even cry for Daddy while Mama's cooking dinner - she just loves her Mama!
Carlie has also discovered how to wave (I say 'discovered' because she looks at her own hand as though she doesn't know what it's doing!) & she will often do it anytime you tell her to "say hi!"
Carlie is now quite the mimicker, as you can see in the video below! She also loves to play peek-a-boo with a towel (or anything else she can put in front of her face), and she gives the best sloppy, slobbery kisses!
