The Making of the Scholl Family: Hadley's 1 month update!

I'm only 2 weeks late, but better late than never! Here's a list of Hadley's milestones and favorites from her first month of life!

Hadley has had a big month! She's met and had her picture taken with almost everyone in her Mommy & Daddy's families. She's been given a Godmother (Aunt Jenna) and a Godfather (Uncle Jeff/ Uncle J-Mo). Her neck and legs are getting very strong and she's beginning to grow out of all of her newborn clothes! She got her social security card in the mail, as well as her birth certificate, which came printed with the wrong date (November 27th)!!

Hadley had a lot of firsts this month: Her first tub bath, her first photo shoot, her first Christmas, her first big road trip up to Mum-Mum and Pops's house for Christmas, her first trip to the doctor & her first time at church! She even got to play baby Jesus at the Christmas Eve service (with Mommy and Daddy as Mary and Joseph!) Hadley also met Santa for the first time when he came to the neighborhood on a fire truck!

Hadley's favorite toys right now are her Little Einstein's Radio & her Leap Frog Pal, Violet (though I think that's really Daddy's favorite toy instead)! Hadley's only fussy when she's gassy & she's beginning to randomly smile. Hadley loves to dance with Mommy and Daddy - Daddy's favorite song to sing to her is "Smiling Face" by James Taylor. She also loves to bounce when she's fussy.

Hadley's a great little eater & that definitely showed at her one month doctor's appointment. After initially losing weight (going down to 5lb 10oz after leaving the hospital), she began to gain weight again and shot up to 8lb 1oz, 19 and 3/4 inches (grew an inch), and her head was 14 inches (grew an inch)!

Hadley dislikes being put into her carseat (and screams like a cat when Mommy and Daddy put her in it) but she is getting better and usually settles down once the car gets moving. She sleeps between two and three hours at a time at night, usually the first stretch being three hours and all of the ones there after being two hours at a time.

PS - I also added pics to Hadley's birth story post & I added a post before that for my 39 week update since that's the day I went into the hospital with her! :)
